The website is dedicated to the memory of my great, great uncle, David Phillips, and all those that served bravely along side him in World War 2.
This website will be filled with letters that Uncle David wrote to home while serving his country. We will be dating each post as it was sent, if he wrote it on Nov. 22nd, 1944, then we will list the post date the same so that we can keep as close to his time line as possible.
Uncle David served in the 104th Engineers, 3rd Brigade, C Co. from December of 1942, until he died in January of 1945. He was not drafted, he made the choice to defend his country, and enlisted!
